Happy Hats for Kids is dedicated to uplifting the spirits, enriching the lives, and easing the fears of hospitalized children fighting cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. The organization’s unique programs help shift the focus of the children and their families away from their discomfort and anxiety through smile-evoking Happy Hats and educational interactive activities which promote literacy.
Project overview
Because Happy Hats for Kids has different levels of commitment from different volunteers, their ability to manage all volunteers and the logistics is made difficult by many moving pieces on any given day. The Happy Hats for Kids project team is building a management system to handle logistics for volunteers and hospitals. Major features include sign-up options for both regular volunteers and infrequent volunteers and order forms for hospitals.
